162 rowers, coaches & parents attended our annual Ball held on Saturday night. Graham Jump, Head of Rowing gave out awards to various pupils for their hard work, commitment and results over the past season. A list of award winners will be attached shortly. A top donated by Olympian Matthew Langridge was auctioned towards our Bowel Cancer fund and parent Mr Whittaker kindly bid the fantastic amount of £500!

'Get on your backside!'

All the efforts of our sixth form students who competed at this years Boston Marathon were rewarded when we announced that they had raised £6036:00 for Bowel Cancer UK. Rowing over the 31 mile course from Lincoln to Boston they were raising money in the memory of Brian Kellett who sadly died of the disease last year. Brian was Father of former pupil Tom and he was a keen supporter of the club.

One on, one off at Runcorn

The wind held off just long enough for the morning division to race at this years Autumn Head. The rowers performed well at their first race of the season and dealt well with the testing conditions. We won the WJ18 quads and young Luke Ozsanlav-Harris continued to impress winning the MJ14 sculls. The afternoon session was cancelled due to high winds.
