What snow!

The Grange School moved indoors and had a fantastic day at the English Indoor Rowing Championships hosted at the Velodrome. All the rowers gave their best and we returned home with the following results:
GOLD - MJ16 Rupert, WJ14 Emily F, MJ13 Luke, MJ16 team Rupert, Will, Rob & Tom and the WJ18 team Sarah, Kat, Harriet & Georgia
SILVER - MJ16 Rob, WJ15 Katy, WJ16 team Emily, Katy, Maddie & Emma, WJ14 team Emily W, Megan, Grace & Imogen
BRONZE - MJ16 Tom F, MJ18 Alex, MJ14 Jack, WJ13 Imogen & MJ12 Scott Ozsanlav-Harris.

Welcome!

Welcome to new Gap student Mackenzie Robertson who has arrived from Auckland, New Zealand to assist the Grange School in Rowing and Girl's games. Mackenzie has been rowing at her school, King's College, for six years and has represented the club at National School level since her novice season. She is extremely excited to be a part of the Grange School Rowing club.

Goodbye Miss Winterson...

...and Hello Mrs Jones.
Rowing coach and junior school teacher Charlotte Winterson married Stuart Jones during the Christmas break. All associated with the rowing club wish them well for their future together.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Rowing Captain Sarah Hewett has been offered a place at Oxford University. Sarah will be studying Geography and fully intends to carry on with her rowing.

Christmas training times

The rowing club will be open to all members on the following dates:
Sat 20th Dec - Normal times, followed by lunch at The Leigh Arms for those who have booked.
Monday 29th Jan - 9am until 12 noon
Sat 3rd Jan - Normal times.

Farewell Winnie

Winsome Whyte, our Tasmanian gap year student flys back home on the 19th December, so Sat 13th will be her last rowing session with us. We are having a time trial that morning and giving her a traditional 'bacon buttie' send off. All rowers will be required to attend from 8:30 until 1:00.

Christmas Fair

The annual Christmas Fair takes place in the school Sports Hall this Saturday 6th December. Organised by The School Parents' Association this event provides funds for equipment like the climbing wall etc. Time - 12:00 until 3:00.

GB Trials

Tom Ford, Rupert Wiltshire and Rob Sherry attended trials in Boston, Lincs. The 5000mt trial was reduced to 3100mt due to conditions and a -5 wind chill! Racing in the J16 event, Tom finished 5th, Rupert 14th and Rob 37th.
