21 crews represented the school at The Northwich Head last Saturday. Despite some heavy colds, all the crews performed really well over the 2350mt course. The following crews won, WJ14 1x (Ford), WJ15 4x+, MJ15 2x, WJ 4x, MJ16 4x & WJ15 2x.

The Grange School Rowing Club held its annual Ball at The Oaklands Hotel. Over 140 rowers, friends and family enjoyed a great night and the evening was made that more special with the attendance of Olympic Silver medallist, Matthew Langridge who kindly gave out the prizes.

The Rowing Club will be competing at this event on Saturday. Crew details ae available on the noticeboard and directions to host college Sir John Deanes can be found at www.sjd.ac.uk This will be a very busy event, so please make sure you arrive on time!

20 crews represented the school at The Agecroft Head of the River. Racing over 3250mts, we returned with 7 wins. They were: MJ16 4x, MJ16 4x+, WJ15 2x, WJ 2x, MJ15 2x, Wsen4 4x and WNov 2x. The school would like to thank all the parents and the coaches for their support.

Now that the colder weather is upon us, please ensure that all rowers and especially coxes are adequately dressed for the weather conditions. All pupils should bring a spare change of kit and it far better to wear 3 or 4 thinner layers than one or two bulkier tops.

Cogratulations to Sarah Hewett who has been appointed Captain of Boats, Sarah has been a hard working and conscientious member of the rowing club for many years and we are sure she will help move the club forward over the coming year. In addition the rowing club has also appointed Lara Pointon as Captain of boys rowing and Harriet Tindale as Captain for girls, again both girls have been exceptional members of the club. Well done to all.
